Nowadays, our lifestyle is having a 180º degrees twist. Don’t you agree? We’re facing new times, new ways of seeing our reality, new rules (as Dua Lipa said in her song), even new knowledge and THE NEW NORMAL. For this new-everything-life, I thought we should always focus on the good things this 2020 is giving us. So, how about we go through this outdoor activities versus indoor activities, in which some of them, by the way, you MUST wear your facemask! Let’s go and see if you agree with my list.

1. Since I’m an animal lover, the first activity I thought for my list is: WALKING YOUR DOGS.

I know, I know! What if you don’t have dogs? Having a nice walk is for sure a great activity for you but, in case you have a doggie friend, this is, with no doubt, is one of the most loved outdoor activities that will give you and your furry companion a lot of benefits. Of course, you should be really careful where to go and definitely, you must wear your mask. The cool part is that you can turn this activity into an indoor one. How? Well, sometimes when I walk my dogs I just let them pee and poo and we go back home and we play there. I can tell they have fun! Of course the size of your dog will be an important factor you may consider because the bigger your dog is, the more exercise he or she will need. So, go and walk with your mask on!

2. The second activity will be: READING A BOOK.

I’m loving this one because it can be done inside or outside! It’s when you have some doble view vest. Are those vest still existing? Well, my point here is that you can enjoy reading your favorite book in your favorite park or maybe chilling with some wine inside your home. If you like a good literature at your favorite coffee shop like me,  some bad news for us because maybe it’s not the best time to do that so home sounds good, right? BUT! If you are a little bit of a rebel person, take care of yourself and when you are outside, always WEAR YOUR FACEMASK!

3. Our third activity is: EXERCISE.

There are some good habits that even when this virus had never appeared we must be doing no matter what, like washing our hands… So, exercise is the same. I believe that a human being has to be fulfilled in mind, body and soul so exercising our body should be part of our everyday life. The good thing here is that you can do it outside but since this hard times, doing exercise at home can be pretty good. There’re thousands of good videos on YouTube you can try for free and burn some calories. Come on! You can start with 30 minutes every other day!

4. I have a fourth one: SOCIALIZE.

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not saying you have to go to some bar or to your friend’s, NO! Just keep in touch with your closest ones. Don’t loose track on them because of this pandemic situation. Nowadays, technology is so reachable that this activity can become so easy and fun. This is for sure, and INDOOR ONE!

So far our score is almost a tie! Four indoor activities to three outdoor activities. So keep reading and find out the winner.

5. Here’s the fifth: KEEP CALM AND WATCH SOME SERIES OR MOVIES (is this “keep calm thing” too old?)

Well, who is not watching some good tv series on Netflix right now? WHO?! Right now I’m so into “Good Girls”. I definitely recommend that one to you. I’ve also watched “Sex Education”, “Street Food Latin America”, “Dark”, “The Politician”, “Hollywood”.

And besides Netflix we have some other options like Amazon Prime in which I can recommend, “This Is Us”, “La Jauría”, “AHS”. Also, I had some look at Apple TV+ where I saw “Defending Jacob”. Anyway, there are so many options right now. I’d love to read some recommendations!

6. A sixth one: GET SOME PLANTS OR TAKE CARE OF THE ONES YOU ALREADY HAVE.

If animals are not much of your thing, you can become a plant lover by taking care of them. I have some friends who started with one plant and now they have six or more. They say that if you take care of a living being, you become more emphatic. Plus, a room full of plants boosts your mood, productivity, concentration and creativity. Reduces stress, fatigue, sore throats and colds. Cleans indoor air by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity and producing oxygen. Are those enough benefits to you? Go get one, take it a photo and share it with me on Instagram! -> @yetiglesias

It seems to me that indoor activities have won this contest and we should do our best to keep ourselves safe at home but everyday more and more places are reopening so we must be prepared for outdoor activities and, once again, WEAR YOUR FACEMASK! Experts say that facemasks help prevent the spread of the virus.

And if you’re also an animal lover or a plant lover, you can wear your facemask with style! Not only you’re gonna help to prevent the spread of the virus, but also, you’re gonna look SO DAMN GOOD while you’re doing it!

Remember, masks can protect you and others! So chins up, masks on!
